Rush Limbaugh Dies at 70 After Battling Lung Cancer

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh died on Wednesday morning at the age of 70 after battling lung cancer.

Kathryn, his wife, announced the news on his radio show, according to Fox news.

“Losing a loved one is terribly difficult, even more so when that loved one is larger than life,” his wife said.

Limbaugh announced in February of last year he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and had started treatment for it, as IJR reported.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump awarded him the Medal of Freedom during the State of the Union address.

“Rush, in recognition of all that you have done for our Nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and inspire, and all of the incredible work that you have done for charity, I am proud to announce tonight that you will be receiving our country’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom,” Trump said.
